BDO stands for Binder Dijker Otte. The history of BDO went back to 1963 where it was founded by five original member firms in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, the US and Canada. These firms was formed under the Binder Seidman International Group. In 1973, the British, German and Dutch member firms adopted a common name whose acronym has endured for the entire global network. That name was Binder Hamlyn (UK), Dijker & Co (Holland), and Otte & Co (Germany) – hence BDO.

BDO Indonesia is a member of BDO International Limited, a UK company limited by guarantee, and forms part of the international BDO network of independent member firms. BDO Indonesia has served both domestic and international clients since 1992. The firm was founded by Mr. Richard B. Tanubrata on December 6th, 1979. As such, we are one of the oldest accounting firms in Indonesia with an in-depth understanding of local and global market while providing audit, tax, and various advisories services in Indonesia.
